Located north of Preston near St Michael’s on Wyre.
From Manchester or further south or east:
Take M6 northbound or M61 northbound or M65 westbound towards Preston and join M6 northbound.
Leave M6 at Junction 32 for the M55 (Blackpool). Exit immediately for the A6 towards Garstang travelling north for approx. 5 miles. On the A6 as you enter the village of Bilsborrow turn left along St Michael’s Road and drive for just over 2 miles. Entrance to the field is on your left.
From Lancaster or further north:
On M6 southbound exit at Junction 33 and take A6 south past Garstang to Bilsborrow. Once through the village of Bilsborrow turn right onto St Michael’s Road and drive for just over 2 miles. Entrance to the field is on your left.
From Blackpool:
take the M55 and exit at Junction 3 and take the A585 northbound to Windy Harbour traffic lights and turn right onto the A586 towards Garstang. Continue along the A586 until you reach St Michael’s on Wyre, at the mini roundabout turn right onto Hall Lane and drive for nearly 2 miles. The entrance will be on your righthand side.
Please feel free to come and visit the airfield, if it is a nice day for flying we will generally have people flying in and out and there will probably be the opportunity to speak to a couple of the pilots. If the Club House is open of the North West Microlight Aircraft Club (NWMAC), then there should be hot or cold drinks and snacks available to buy.
As this is an active airfield safety is paramount. Please drive slowly down the track along the side of the airfield, there is Visitor Parking area near the end of the track as well and Tables and Chairs for you to sit and enjoy the activities of the airfield. Feel free to bring a Picnic (please take all litter home with you as bins are not provided).
Visitors must not cross the fence line onto the airfield without supervision.
